Summer 2020 | University of Oregon Advertising Capstone | Winning Campaign 🏆
The Ask
When our capstone client, Oregon House, came to our class about developing a fundraising campaign to build a University of Oregon guesthouse on the University of Ghana’s campus, our team wanted to focus on the student’s experience holistically and how it will shape their future careers. Student’s experiences in Ghana proved to be more than just a normal study abroad program.
Positioning
Our strategy was to split the campaign into three phases, targeting a specific donor demographic at each phase. The common goal of communicating the impact on student’s lives stayed throughout. My vision was to develop the written language in a way that sparked an emotional connection with donors that would encourage their involvement with fundraising.
Impact
The result in our creative included out of home, social, and digital executions targeted toward those potential donors split between the three phases. These include informational pamphlets, project website, donor postcards, newsletters, social posts, and more.
